Patients are typically referred by their GP or another medical specialist for neurological assessment. Following consultation, the neurologist communicates relevant findings and recommendations to the referring practitioner to support ongoing care where appropriate.
Neurological symptoms can have many possible causes. A consultation with a neurologist generally involves reviewing your medical history, discussing your symptoms and performing a neurological examination. Where clinically indicated, additional investigations may be recommended to assist in diagnosis and management.

Working With Your Healthcare Team
